Medicare does not cover face down positioning equipment for vitrectomy eye surgery,
it is an automatic denial at this time.  It is coded as a non-covered item CPT E 0190.
RiteTime cannot process paperwork through Medicare.
SADMERC says it will take Congress telling them to assign an allowable CPT code.

PLEASE contact your Congressman and request they sponsor and/or support legislation for Medicare to cover medically necessary, doctor prescribed face down positioning equipment for vitrectomy patients.  It certainly makes sense for individual constituent patient eyesight recovery. Also it would potentially and cost effectively reduce the need for second and third vitrectomy surgeries that Medicare covers if the patient does not maintain face down positioning the initial vitrectomy.

Rite Time uses CPT code E 1399 a miscellaneous code unless private insurance prefers E 0636. 
Sometimes private insurances and/or secondary insurances reimburse their patients in part.
